What is FRP Tank

The tank made by Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) using Filament Winding Process from Polyester Resin & Glass Fibers. This is also known as Comp- tank. Tanks are tested for pressure by hydro testing as per ASTM ( American Society for testing of Materials) D 4097 standard and BS 4994 standards.

What is the durability of FRP Tanks and Ease of Maintenance ?

FRP Tank is specially designed for the life span of minimum 50 -75 Years . Due to glassy inner surface , algae formation and other type of bio-fouling is considerably eliminated. Hence maintenance frequency is low. Each tank is provided with FRP ladder inside for maintenance.

What is the static and dynamic load bearing capacity of the tank ?

With 1 meter depth from ground level 50 tonnes . Hence the space above the tank can be used for drive way , parking , children park etc

Can FRP tank be used as Overhead Tanks ?

FRP Tanks can be used as overhead tank , since it is light weight and is not affected by Sun's UV rays.

Portability and Volume of Space?

The tank can be shifted from one place to other even after usage during modification or renovation of the building . The Volume of space required is much less than RCC Tank . It occupies only 5% more space than the water volume stored.
